Why do we recommend Heritage cookers?

There are various makes of range cooker on the market that offer models that will do both cooking and central heating. We service all of these other makes. When it comes to oil fired range cookers that will also do central heating we have found that the Herritage from our experience seems to be far and away the most reliable. Others may disagree and this is taken purely from our own experience, but it should be noted that we have over 4000 customers on our database and a percentage of these have various range cookers for this purpose other than a straightforward AGA cooker just used for cooking and sometimes  heating the hot water by gravity system with no moving parts/extra burners.

Are they efficient?

The answer is a definitive yes! When you look inside most boilers they consist of a water jacket with baffles so the heat from the burner is slowed down by the baffles and is then transferred into the water. The Herritage  uses a boiler with a selection of tubes inside it in which runs the water to be heated (rather like a tube boiler in a steam engine) the efficiency of this is quite incredible in other words you will burn less oil for more heat.

Do they last?

Again the answer is yes. I am going back to the ones that I went to 20 years ago to service and they are still going strong. In addition to this some range cookers tend to suffer extraneous heat damage to the programmers and controls . Heritage is well insulated in these areas and none of the controls are ever heat damaged even after a long time in service.

Who owns them and where are they made?

They are owned and run by a family Company much like ourselves. When you speak to Jim or his son Brian they are polite helpful and extremely knowledgeable. It’s always good to have an excellent product which is backed up by an excellent company.
